Visuals & Vibes is a co-ed art show that celebrates visionary artists and musicians passionate about their craft. This marks our second time hosting the event, bringing together creative talents to inspire and connect.

Grei
Grei (she/they) is a poet, filmmaker, and educator from Queens, NY, whose work explores identity, folklore, and community. They’ve performed at venues such as the New York City Poetry Festival, SOBS, and DePauw University, and have been published by the Dominican Writers Association andLumina Journal. A 2018–2019 Fulbright U.S. Student Researcher, Grei conducted research in the Dominican Republic, where they created the award-winning short filmSi Ardiera La Ciudad. They are a member of the Masqueerade collective and co-founder of The Tiny Hat Party, a creative safe haven for multidisciplinary artists.

Sheree
Ayana Shéree is a Caribbean fusion artist from East Flatbush, Brooklyn. She’s Jamaican and Haitian, and her music embodies the flirty, vibrant, and rhythmic essence of the Caribbean. With her natural charisma, energetic performances, and an undeniable knack for blending dancehall and reggae vibes, Shéree creates unforgettable experiences where audiences can truly free up themselves.

ANT
Anthony McDonald, also known as Ant, is an artist and graphic designer from Brooklyn, New York, known for his vibrant digital portraits and illustrations influenced by Afrofuturism, Hip Hop, and Anime. As a child, Ant was drawn to cartoons but noticed the lack of Black representation on screen. Seeing more recent shows authentically highlight Black culture inspired him deeply. Through his bold and colorful work, Ant aims to continue that empowerment by celebrating identity and representation.

BRENT
Brent Kelsick is a Brooklyn-based visual artist specializing in oil painting and graphic design, inspired early on by the creative energy of his Clinton Hill neighborhood and the nearby Pratt Institute. He has exhibited in group shows across Brooklyn, Queens, Harlem, Connecticut, and at Art Basel Miami Beach in 2019 with Hellotittie. In addition to showcasing his work, Kelsick has led numerous Sip and Paint events for diverse age groups and audiences. His art has been featured in online publications likeRespect the PoundandHüeman Palette, with recent exhibitions at Allure Art Studio where he successfully sold one of his pieces.

China Lamont, also known as Chi.Casso, is a visual artist from Queens, NY, known for her colorful canvas paintings, digital illustrations, and clay sculptures. Each piece she creates is intended to inspire healing and evoke a sense of nostalgia. Her vibrant, expressive work blends emotion with memory, offering viewers a deeply personal connection. Chi.Casso's art has been featured in theArtistic Tribe NYCnewspaper and showcased at The Museum of Illusions.

JAMIE
Jamie is the artist behind Her Coloring Box, known for bold, colorful portraits of women that fuse abstraction, surrealism, and storytelling. Her work celebrates femininity with vibrant, unapologetic energy, transforming personal expression into striking visual narratives. A published artist with a Fine Art and Art History degree from Purchase College, she has been painting professionally since 2016. Jamie’s art is a testament to the power of color, identity, and storytelling through the female form.

KADEEM
Kadeem Phillip, known professionally as Lifeofdeem, is a Trinidadian-American pop artist based in Brooklyn, New York. A self-taught creator, he has spent over a decade transforming personal struggles into emotionally powerful, culturally rich artworks, with more than 200 exhibitions across NYC. Central to his work is Kadie, a recurring character symbolizing his inner child and personal growth. Through murals, canvases, and community projects, Kadeem uses art as a tool for healing, connection, and storytelling.

Katu is a self-taught visual artist from Brooklyn, NY, known for her imaginative characters Kid SOLR and the Kanvas Kids. Influenced by cartoon animation, music, and storytelling, her art reflects a journey of self-discovery and purpose. Her latest showcase,Late Bloomers Still Rise, features seven original works that champion resilience and the power of believing in oneself. Through this collection, Katu celebrates the beauty of blooming in your own time and on your own terms.

MONEL ALIOTE
Monel Aliote is a New York-based contemporary portrait painter who seeks to capture more than physical likeness—he aims to reveal the emotions, spirit, and essence of his subjects. Starting his artistic journey at 14, he gained early recognition in 2009 with a Gold Key from the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards and a group show at The Brooklyn Museum. Though self-taught, he refined his skills at The Art Students League of New York and draws inspiration from artists like Kehinde Wiley and Kerry James Marshall. Aliote often alters or refines his subjects’ features to highlight deeper psychological, emotional, or social layers, making each portrait a nuanced exploration of identity.

Natalie V. Grant is a multidisciplinary artist from Brooklyn, NY, working primarily in photography, with additional practices in illustration and fiber art. She earned her BFA in Photography & Video from the School of Visual Arts in 2020. Her work explores themes of social justice and challenges stereotypes within the Black community, drawing from personal experience and a commitment to meaningful storytelling. Grant creates with the belief that art can inspire unity and drive collective awareness and change.
