Woody Allen's Wife Soon-Yi Previn Breaks Silence On Sexual Assault Claims
Soon-Yi Previn is breaking her silence to defend her husband film director Woody Allen against allegations of molestation. The scandal of Woody Allen and his wife Soon-Yi Previn goes back at least two decades.
Woody Allen was in a long-term relationship with Previn's adoptive Mother Mia Farrow when Previn was a young child. While Allen was dating Farrow in 1991 he started a relationship with Previn who was 19 or 20 at the time allegedly. Rumor has it that Allen was in a sexual relationship with Previn before she turned 18, and the fact that he was like a father figure to her didn't help the situation. Farrow's other daughter Dylan Farrow, who she adopted with Allen, accused Allen of sexual assault.
Dylan Farrow accused Allen of sexually molesting her in an op-ed for the Los Angeles Times in December. Allen has denied those claims and an investigation in 1993 found that he had not sexually assaulted her.
In the interview, Previn accused her adoptive mother Farrow of pressuring Dylan to speak out and exploit the #MeToo movement to get revenge against Allen.
"What's happened to Woody is so upsetting, so unjust," Previn said. "(Mia) has taken advantage of the #MeToo movement and paraded Dylan as a victim. And a whole new generation is hearing about it when they shouldn't."
