Two Women Start A Movement To Promote Body Positivity
Your best friend is usually the one who speaks to you from the heart and is always by your side when times get rough. Two best friends from Australia are sure making a stand when it comes to body positivity! Georgia Gibbs and Kate Wasely are two models who share a size 6 and a size 16 between their bodies. The two had previously experienced negative feedback over a picture the two posted, but these two models are using this opportunity to have their voices be heard!
The two girls took the chance to create their own social media initiative entitled "Any Body".
“Whether you’re a size 6 or 16, above, below or in between, we believe you are unique and uniqueness is so beautiful in a world of so much similarity,” she said.’ Gibbs had written on her Instagram.
The movement was initially launched on International Women’s Day with the intentions of encouraging body acceptance and general love for oneself. Although the movement itself started a mere few weeks ago, Gibbs and Wasely’s messages of love and acceptance seems to be reaching the masses. It looks like these two may have started something quite spectacular!
