Tis The Season To Get Married

Tis the season – for weddings that is! I don’t know about you but I’m in 3 weddings this summer and invited to even more. And, of course, we want to look our best but how do we do that when weddings (and dresses) are expensive. Here some hacks that I most certainly will be using this coming season.

Different people, same dress

This may be an easier one, but if you’re going to two weddings where the guests won’t overlap, then definitely indulge in wearing the same dress twice. Outfit repeating may not be my favorite thing to do but if there’s a dress I really love and none of the same people will see it, I’m happy to make an exception.

Rent the Runway!

It’s a great way to wear some great designer stuff for under $100. Can’t beat that. Rent the runway is definitely worth checking out, especially if you have a lot of weddings that involve the same people. They won’t see the same dress and you won’t drain your account balance.

Vintage Shop

If you’re anything like me, you want to stand out. (It’s my Mercury in Leo.) None of us want to be caught in a dress that looks like everyone else’s. We don’t need a repeat of prom or senior formal. Shopping vintage is a great way to get a unique, retro piece for half the price you would pay in a department store or boutique.

Borrow!

I’ve been to my fair share of weddings and events in some of my friends’ dresses. You want to wear something new, that no one else has seen but that doesn’t mean you have to buy something new. Borrowing from a friend your size just means that their dress is new to you!
