The Fyre Festival Disaster Continues! Having A Lawsuit Of 100 Million For Fraud
Fyre Festival, a supposedly luxurious music weekend was scheduled to begin in the Bahamas with performances by G.O.O.D. Music, Major Lazer, Blink 182 and more, became a thing of nightmares.
Rapper, Ja Rule and, entrepreneur, Billy McFarland promised attendees a never-before-seen V.I.P event with private beaches and fancy hotels, in wake of Coachella. The festival was promoted by celebrities like Kendall Jenner, Bella Hadid, and Emily Ratajkowski--and ticket packages were selling at starting price of $12,000 and topping at six-figures with extras.
However, when guest arrived on the island of Exuma, they found a setup close to “Survivor”. The grounds were bare and lacking its promised amenities, instead in its place were damp tents, folding chairs and dirt fields. Fyre Festival turned sour when attendees took to social media, specifically Twitter, and posted the sad sandwiches and setup. Panic arose as the festival was canceled and everyone attempted to fly back to the mainland in Florida. The event was cashless and left many stranded without money.
This morning a million dollar lawsuit was filed against Ja Rule and Billy McFarland for damages and the endangerment of attendees of Fyre Festival (but we all saw that one coming).
