Taylor’s Lessons On Her Journey To Thirty

Taylor Swifts opens up about all the lessons she has learned on her journey to turning 30. The pop star writes the piece, "30 Things I Learned Before Turning 30" on Elle Magazine. Since she dropped her first hit song "Our Song" in 2017, Swift has experienced a lot of things that have taught her great lessons. She starts with, "according to my birth certificate, I turn 30 this year. It's weird because part of me still feels 18 and part of me feels 283."

Swift shares about the important things in her life from learning to block out the negativity of social media to her thoughts on the importance of caring for her skin. ( I mean it is only your largest organ.) She mentions helpful tips like the vitamins she takes and how serious it is to work on childhood scars. Swift even touches on her search of a political voice and her views on sexual assault victims.

Refinery 29 highlights that amongst other serious topics Swift speaks about her biggest fear. After the 2017 Manchester bombing and the Vegas, concert shooting remembers being,

"completely terrified to go on tour" she adds, "I didn’t know how we were going to keep 3 million fans safe over seven months. There was a tremendous amount of planning, expense, and effort put into keeping my fans safe."

It is cool to see Swift transition from being open and sharing through her music to being open in a piece like this. Her journey to 30 has filled her with lessons we can all learn from.
