Taylor Swift Makes Surprise Appearance In Nashville

Taylor Swift took a trip back to her country roots this past Saturday when she gave a surprise performance in a Nashville cafe.

Swift showed up unannounced to the Bluebird Cafe where she first started her career at age 14. The Bluebird Cafe is a Nashville landmark known for hosting some of country music's best singers and songwriters.

Country singer Craig Wisemen, who was in on the surprise, was performing in front of about 40 people when he introduced Swift. According to the The Tennessean, Swift received a standing ovation.

Swift performed her top hits "Shake It Off,” "Love Story" and “Better Man” — a song she wrote for the band Little Big Town. Swift and Wiseman ended the Easter Eve night by doing a shot of fireball together onstage. Swift was a teenager when she first moved to Nashville and when she met Wiseman.

She may be one of the most famous singers in the world, but Swift is a reminder to never forget where you come from or the people who got you to where you are today.
