Taraji P. Henson Becomes MAC's Viva Glam Ambassador
Actress Taraji P. Henson along with her follow 'Empire' co-star, Jussie Smollett, have become the faces of MAC Viva Glam. Viva Glam is MAC's annual campaign to raise awareness on HIV/AIDS. Along with this, one hundred percent of the proceeds of the lipsticks and lip-glosses sold go to the MAC AIDS Fund. This fund helps women, men, and children living with and affected by HIV/AIDS.
This two-piece collection has come out just in time for Valentine's Day. It includes a shimmery fuschia lip-gloss and matte fuschia lipstick.
Both are encased in pretty pink applicators, with Henson's signature. Speaking with Essence magazine Henson talked about why this Campaign was important to her saying,
"It is so impactful and positive globally. I’ve always wanted to be an artist that affected people all over the world," she continued. "I’ve lost so many friends to AIDS, so it is a passion of mine to find a cure. The fact that they give away every dollar spent on a tube of lipstick or lip-gloss is amazing to me."
Henson is joining a long list of celebrities like Rupaul and Arianne Grande to be a part of Viva Glam. Check out her fierce photo-shoot with Smollett for Viva Glam below.
