Reviews: Kylie Jenner’s New Skin Care Line Is Harsh On The Skin

She started with just selling the infamous lip kits and is now going into the world of skin care. Who am I speaking of? Kylie Jenner of course. The lip kit mogul has been delving into all things makeup for a while and has now launched a skin care line that she claimed to be hydrating and can clean off dirt and take off makeup. Which has been far from the truth according to people who went and spent $200+ on the set.

The Kylie Skin Line comes with a cleanser, exfoliator, toner, serum, eye cream, and moisturizer. The cleanser is said to use kiwi oil and sodium hyaluronate to keep skin feeling moisturized. Yet a lot of people are saying that they feel their faces are striped of moisture. Both Jeffree Star and Michelle Phan both say that they felt their faces were dry. Jeffree Star taking it a bit further stating he felt “basic.” Michelle Phan stated the beauty line “might be good for teenagers or those who have oily skin.” Same thing was said by fellow beauty Youtuber Karen from @IAMKARENO. Both Michelle and Jeffree are well known beauty gurus and both have their own makeup lines.

The exfoliator is another that got a lot of backlash. People reviewing the line felt especially after getting the moisture stripped off with the cleanser the exfoliator felt harsh on the skin. The exfoliator uses walnut shell finely grind into the formula. Another issue with the exfoliator is that most of the people using it prefer a chemical exfoliant rather than a physical one like Kylie’s. The rest of the products had mixed reviews with some people loving the toner, serum, moisturizer, and eye cream, while others thought they were okay or didn’t like them at all. Skin care obviously is different for each person, and everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Hopefully Kylie takes this information and betters her skin care formula.
