First up we have a rose water cleansing gel. Rose water is amazing for your skin its multifunctional as it maintains your skin’s pH balance, controls oils in the skin, and acts as a anti-inflammatory agent reduce redness in irritated skin. Rose water is not only good for your skin but also your hair and body, it’s a great as a hair perfume and body spray. According to Wellness Momma, here is an easy recipe I found.

How To:

  • 1 cup rose water

  • 1/4 cup aloe vera gel

  • 2 tsp glycerin

  • 1 tsp castile soap

  • 8 drops rose absolute (optional)

  1. Combine all listed ingredients into a small pump bottle

  2. Squeeze about 2-3 pumps of cleanser into clean hands or on a clean washcloth and massage over your face in a circular motion until clean.

  3. Rinse with warm water and gently pat dry.

The combination of these products will leave your skin smooth and well hydrated. Aloe vera gel is great at soothing irritated skin and calming inflammations. Glyerin acts as an emollient, and is great for treating oily skin and fights against wrinkles. Castile soap maintains your skin’s pH balance and kills harmful bacteria. Lastly, rose absolute offers therapeutic benefits by calming irritation within the skin.

Secondly is the tag team duo of baking soda and organic honey. Now we all know baking soda has several benefits from whitening your teeth to removing foul odors. However, combining it with honey makes for a great makeup remover as well.

How To:

  1. Combining equal parts of organic honey and baking soda in to a paste like texture

  2. Apply the paste directly to your face and gently rub in a circular motion

The baking soda works as both a face cleanser and exfoliate, it also contains antibacterial properties to help fight off acne. The exfoliating properties help remove makeup and outer layers of dead skin cells leaving your skin smooth and soft. The organic honey offers both moisture and soothing aid to the skin, it also helps fight acne and unclogging of pores in the skin.
