Princess Diana’s New Exhibit Opens Up in Kensington Palace

Former Princess Diana’s influence and spirit continues to live on in the hearts of the English, and now it looks like her clothing will as well! A new exhibit located in the palace has just opened up a new exhibit entitled “Diana: Her Fashion Story”. The exhibit shows a collection of 26 of the late princess’s looks from her reign. The collection of dresses and ensembles showcases Diana’s beauty and style throughout the 80s and 90s, including her famous blue velvet gown that she wore when she danced with John Travolta at the White House in 1985.

"[The exhibit] is a sort of journey through her evolving style, learning how she learned to dress to adhere to the royal rules. There are so many things you have to take into consideration, dressing as a royal princess. So you kind of learn with her as you go through the exhibition.” curator Eleri Lynn told Today Style.

The exhibit is opening its doors nearly twenty years since Princess Diana’s untimely death. Her sons Prince William and Prince Harry have been making a name for themselves in the press as much as their later mother did, especially with Prince William’s marriage to Kate Middleton. Middleton herself has been making a name for herself due to her fashion choices as well. It’s wonderful to see that Diana’s influence is still being recognized not just among the people, but among the palace walls as well. We miss you Diana, but we know you are looking down upon all of us with that beautiful smile of yours.
