#PrisonBae is what the internet calls him, real name Jeremy Meeks walked in Plein’s bold and aggressive show. Meeks was sentenced in February 2015 to two years in federal prison for weapons violation. After serving a year, this felon was officially out of the prison and received a lot of attention from designers and modeling agencies. Here is a reminder of his mugshot just incase you forgot.
Jeremy Meeks, being a part of designer Philipp Plein show for 2017 New York Fashion Week is a BIG deal. Plein has never displayed his collections in New York City before only in Milan with ultra elaborate spectacle shows, so his recent unveiling in the Big Apple was considered unexpected. Plein started the show by taking center stage to announce,
“I’m just a dream chaser. I believe in my dreams until they come true,”
In his audience there were big name like Madonna, Kylie Jenner, Tiffany Trump, and Fat Joe. He also had celebrities walk in his collection like the New England Patriots’ Danny Amendola, socialite Sofia Richie, Desiigner, Young Thug and Fetty Wap.
