Paris Jackson Opens Up About Her Past

It’s been almost eight years since the death of the King of Pop Michael Jackson, and almost eight years since we all witnessed his young daughter tearfully speak out her love for her father at his public wake broadcast around the world. Life is never easy for children in the spotlight, and being the daughter of one of the most recognizable faces in the industry certainly doesn’t make it any easier. Paris Jackson has recently let her vulnerabilities out on paper and opened up about past drug abuse, her now sober living and being sexually assaulted at 14 years.

Jackson has dealt with self-esteem issues since her pre-teen years and admitted to many suicide attempts. She says what changed everything was when she was sent to a therapeutic school in Utah.

“I’m a completely different person. But up to that point, I was actually crazy, I was going through a lot of teen angst. And I was also dealing with my depression and anxiety without any help.”

The now 18-year-old has found a new light in her life. She leads a sober lifestyle and even shares the memory of her late father in the form of many tattoos across her body. Growing up is hard enough, but having to do it with the loss of a parent certainly adds insult to injury. Props to you Paris! Keep on doing what you are doing! We’re all rooting for ya!
