Paris Jackson Is Now Officially A Model
Daughter of Pop icon Michael Jackson is coming out of the shadows and is making a name for herself. 18-year-old Paris Jackson just signed to IMG Models, which also represents Bella and Gigi Hadid and Hailey Baldwin among many others. Jackson has been dabbling in the style scene in recent months, sitting front row at Dior and Givenchy's recent shows during Paris Fashion Week: Men's, and appearing on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine. It may be a surprise that Jackson has chosen to model as her career path given her past. Jackson battled many self-esteem issues in her early teens and attempted suicide three times.
Speaking to Rolling Stone she told them,
"It was just self-hatred. Low self-esteem, thinking that I couldn't do anything right, not thinking I was worthy of living anymore."
Also, Jackson and her two brothers lived a very sheltered life with their father. It is surprising that she would now want to live a public life as a model, but refreshing that she did not let depression hold her back from achieving her dreams. IMG's president, Ivan Bart, was the first to announced the news on Instagram
Along with future photo- shoots, runways, ad campaigns, and an appearance on an episode of Fox's Star we have a lot to look forward from Jackson.
