Meryl Streep’s Most Difficult Role Was Playing Famed Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour
Hollywood’s most acclaimed actress Meryl Streep joined fashion world icon Anna Wintour for a little candid conversation about everything far in between. Streep joined the Vogue Editor-in-Chief in her office to discuss all that there is about the Hollywood world, and how Streep’s portrayal of Miranda Priestly (many believed to be an unofficial portrayal of Wintour) in The Devil Wears Prada had to be one of the actress’s most difficult roles to date. Wintour started off the exchange asking,
“Obviously you’ve played a lot of extraordinary women. What was the most challenging woman you ever played? “Oh, I should say (you)!- via etonline.com Streep answered humorously.
The duo went on to discuss other topics in the interview such as the recent Harvey Weinstein scandal; political aspects and Streep’s new film The Post. When asked about how recent events may impact the upcoming awards season, Streep answered that if anything will be different, it’ll be that people are more aware. Although the future in light of recent events is still up in the air, I’d say being aware is a good place to start.
