Melania and Ivanka Trump Tackle Women’s Rights in Saudi Arabia
First lady Melania Trump, and Donald Trump's daughter/adviser Ivanka Trump took on women's empowerment discussions in Saudi Arabia. While the President was busy working out his own affairs, the two women took their time in Saudi Arabia to discuss what the future holds for women empowerment, and what needs to be done to continue progress.
Melania Trump took her time to visit an all women's business center, as well as a school. Ivanka Trump attended a round-table focusing on women’s economic empowerment. Both Melania and Ivanka have been joining President Trump on a bunch of his visits to Saudi Arabia for his official activities. For most of the events the two women have been apart of, they have mostly been engaging with mostly female filled audiences. Ivanka Trump took a moment while at the round-table to acknowledge the nation’s recent progress for women.
“Saudi Arabia’s progress, especially in recent years, is very encouraging but there’s still a lot of work to be done and freedoms and opportunities to continue to fight for,” Said Ivanka.
With all the recent news and controversy of President Trump’s ties to Russia and whispers of possibilities of impeachment on the horizon; at least Melania and Ivanka are taking the opportunities to do what they can to better women not just in the US, but across the pond as well.
