Mariah Carey's New Year's Eve Performance Wasn't What We Expected
Times Square in New York City is the place to be during New Year's Eve. Each and every year, during this time they have celebrities perform their latest hits in front of a live audience. This year Mariah Carey was chosen to headline the festivities in Times Square, and her performance wasn't anything close to what we expected. People in the audience noticed she was lip syncing, Mariah as the DIVA she is blamed it on technical difficulties. Mariah was assigned to perform two of her hit songs, “Emotions” and “We Belong Together”, it was a big disaster.
Mariah handled it the best way a DIVA could, with poise and grace. During her hit song "Emotions" she was nice enough to let the audience sing for her, if that isn't classic I don't know what is.
Mariah took it to Twitter to express exactly how she felt after her performance. She wrote:
"Shit happens, Have a happy and healthy new year everybody! Here's to making more headlines in 2017."
What a great way to start off the NEW YEAR!
