Makeup Brands Helping The LGBTQ+ Communities
It is Pride Month and everyone is out celebrating love and the LGBTQ+ community. Not just people out on the street, both those who support or are apart of the LGBTQ+ community, but also makeup brands are out here showing their support. There are a bunch of brands out there within the makeup world that are using their platforms to give back to the LGBTQ+ community. I will be listing a few brands who are doing this and explaining what it is they are doing to benefit the LGBTQ+ community.
MAC Cosmetics dropped a new collection that is dedicated to Pride Month. This new collection will also help support the LGBTQ+ community. In this collection there is one Chromagraphic Pencil which retails for $18; the Art Library: It's Designer Eye Shadow Palette which retails for $48; Brushstroke 24-Hour Liner which retails for $22, and so much more. What makes this collection so awesome is that MAC is using this platform to get people to attend one of their many Pride events across the country to show their support for the LGBTQ+ community.
Similar to MAC Cosmetics, Tarte has also released a Pride Collection, which includes: Jessie Paege X Tarte Let It Rain-Bow Eye set which retails for $24, a pair of lashes, a pot of glitter gel, and a liquid chrome paint metallic pigment with fun stencils. What makes this collection special is that they collaborated with YouTuber Jessie Paege, who identifies herself as bisexual. They are going to be donating, together with Jessie Paege, $25K to the Trevor Project.
Another brand doing a makeup collection is Morphe. They are releasing their PRIDE Live in Color Collection tomorrow, which includes 25L Live in Color Artistry Palette selling for $20 and the Live in Color 7 Piece Eye Brush Set which is selling for $28. “100% of net proceeds from this collection will be donated to the @TrevorProject during our pride celebration to help fund 24/7 suicide prevention & crisis intervention services for LGBTQ youth.” Morphe confirmed on their Instagram.
