Lena Dunham Is Proud To Sport Her Cellulite In February Glamour Magazine Cover

The four stars of HBO’s Girls, created and written by Lena Dunham, stand tall and strong on Glamour Magazine’s February cover. This issue is one which was produced by and is filled with only women. The magazine’s cover shows the Girls cast in conjunction with the short and empowering description of the issue featuring “50 other female forces on owning Your look, Your body, Your happiness, Your future.”

Dunham, the talented and hilarious creator of Girls is proud to be featured on the cover however she is even more proud that her cellulite made the final cut. The magazine chose not to Photoshop it away but instead allows readers to see the cover girls exactly as they are and they look stunning doing it.

Dunham took to Instagram following some remarks regarding this picture and shut down the haters. She sent out a message to women and girls everywhere that their bodies are beautiful and should not be airbrushed away or treated as if they are anyone’s but their own.

“My body isn’t fair game,” she says in her eloquently worded caption. “No one’s is, no matter their size, color, gender identity, and there’s a place for us all in popular culture to be beautiful.”

As she heads into her sixth and final season of the HBO comedy, Lena Dunham continues to wow us with her unapologetic attitude and fierce battle for females to be treated with respect. You go girl! We can’t wait to see what’s next for her.
