Kylie Jenner New Fashion Line Stirs Up Controversy
2017 has proven to be the year of Kylie Jenner. With a new makeup line, underwear line, new lip kit colors and a new reality show; this Jenner’s is taking over entertainment and fashion at only 19 years old. The reality TV star doesn’t seem to be taking a break. She is back with a new apparel line called “Camo.” This line is covered in all camouflage with tank tops and pants in several different colors. Jenner's "Camo" is priced from $10 to $70.
Nothing that the Kardashian/ Jenner family does comes without a bit of controversy. Jenner has been accused of stealing the designs from another line called PluggedNYC. Tizita Balemlay, founded PluggedNYC in January 2016, it is described as a street chic line. The "Camo" designs in Jenner's line are identical to that of PluggedNYC. It may be a coincidence, but since Jenner has been seen wearing clothes from PluggedNYC, she is very familiar with the fashion line.
Jenner has been accused several times in the past of stealing designs and ideas for her makeup and clothing lines.
Buzzfeed reached out to Balemlay, to get her opinion on Jenner's new line, and her relationship with Jenner. She told Buzzfeed that she sent Jenner knit and camo items from her line after Jenner's stylist reached out to her. Balemlay said she was excited when Jenner's stylist reached out to collaborate — and Jenner was the first person to receive PluggedNYC's camo set.
