Jimmy Kimmel Get’s Emotional Talking About His Son’s Health Issues
Jimmy Kimmel is one of the funniest men on the late night spectrum, and is always showing off his comedy chops to his guests on his show. However, Kimmel got a bit teary eyed and emotional when he took a moment to share about his newborn son’s health problems during his opening monologue.
"On Monday morning, Dr. Vaughn Starnes opened his chest and fixed one of the two defects in his heart. He went in there with a scalpel and did some kind of magic that I couldn't even begin to explain. He opened the valve, and the operation was a success. It was the longest three hours of my life."
The usually funny and lighthearted host was visibly emotional and holding back tears during his speech, but he also was also grateful and happy that everything worked out okay. The talk show host’s wife Molly McNearney was also in good spirits after the surgery showing off her happy little boy along with his happy little father is postoperative bliss tweeting:
The talk show host is currently on paternity leave for the next couple of weeks and his hosting duties will be taken over by some familiar faces including Kristin Bell, David Spade and Will Arnett. Were so happy to hear that your little boy is doing okay Jimmy! And thank you for sharing your gratitude and happiness. The feeling is most certainly mutual with us.
