Janelle Monae Signs A Production Deal And Covers Fast Company Magazine
Janelle Monae already has the last quarter of 2018 and 2019 in her favor. Fast Company magazine released their December issue and Monae is the face gracing this month’s cover. The media/news company named her one of the world’s most productive people. Not a bad way to end the year right?
Universal added another blessing her way with a secured bag for the next year. Her production company, Wondaland, just signed a deal with the film division. The two companies will develop multi-genre content while painting a picture on the unheard and unseen of the world. The chairman of Universal, Donna Langley said,
“Their forward-thinking, inclusive approach to content and storytelling make them a perfect fit for our studio.”
Monae will be working with Universal in her projects; Welcome to Marwen, directed by Robert Zemeckis premieres December 21st and Focus Features’ Harriet, a biopic on Harriet Tubman to come out next year. Y’all better get on the tight rope and tighten up like Janelle, she’s getting it all.
