Jane Fonda And Helen Mirren Take Over Paris Fashion Week
Paris Fashion Week was filled with lots of diversity. The moment that took the cake was seeing actress Jane Fonda and Helena Miriam rip the runway for L’Oreal’s special fashion show. This Sunday, L’Oreal organized a beauty and fashion runway show that was open to the public. It featured 70 hair and makeup looks and outfits from 18 established and emerging fashion houses like Balmain and Mulberry.
After years of serving fashion week from backstage, L’Oreal chose this season to honor Paris by giving its own show on the Champs-Élysées. Fonda and Miriam are both in there 70s, so it was a nice change to see their faces on the runway compared to the younger models in their 20s. These women didn't just walk the runway they owned the runway! Fonda even took a moment to go into the audience and give Naomi Campbell a hug while Mirren swung her cane around like the badass she is. Plus-size model Iskra Lawrence and male models Alpha Dia and Vincent Lacrocq joined the actresses on the runway.
L'Oreal has always celebrated women and the things that make them different. It is no surprise that the beauty company would have a fashion show with a diverse group of women.
