Helpful Makeup Tips Everyone Can Use
It can take some girls/guys a few minutes to perfect their makeup and some of us takes longer. Creating a cat eye can be a struggle and preventing lipstick from touching your teeth can also be a hassle. Here are ten makeup tips for everyone trying to do their makeup to perfection.
Look at your makeup in different lighting
Your makeup will always look different under different lighting. The different lights will help you see any spot that you missed or things that are not colored in right.
A way to make your eyes look wider
When you are applying mascara swipe the mascara straight towards your nose, not up. This will make your eyes bigger and your lashes fuller.
Make you eye shadow pop
You can put white eyeliner all over your eyelid and put your eye shadow color over it. This will help the color be more pigmented and stand out.
Eye shadow stencil
Use scotch tape to help you have the perfect eye shadow look that will be even on both sides. Just place the tape under your eye going upward toward you eyelash. Any excess eye shadow will end up on the tape.
The perfect wing eyeliner
If you just can't get that wing on your winged eyeliner curved to perfection try using a spoon. It will always be even and straight with this technique. Use the rounded part of the spoon on top of the eyelash this will help create the curve you need.
No more lipstick on teeth
Once you apply your lipstick put your finger in your mouth, close your mouth, and then pull your finger out. You will see the excess lipstick on your finger that would have been on your teeth.
When applying your concealer don't pat it under your eye. Apply it on in a triangle shape. You can blend the concealer after you let it set on you face for a few minutes.
The smokey eye effect
When you want to create the smokey eye for a night out you don't even need to use eye shadow. Draw a hashtag symbol on the corner of your eyelid with eyeliner pencil and then blend it out.
Test foundation on your neck
The next time you are buying a new foundation and you want to see if a particular shade is good for you test it out on your neck, not your face. Your skin complexion is not the same on your face as it is on your body. You can thank sun exposure and old scars from breakouts for that. Don't you hate seeing the girl/guy whose makeup does not match their neck? Don't be that person!!
Re-wet your mascara
You can add a couple of drops of saline solution to your mascara tube if it dries up. Technically you are only supposed to keep your mascara for a few months. You can get an eye infection if you use old mascara, so use this technique for mascara less than five months old.
Be fun and creative with your makeup and if you make a mistake just be glad you can just wash it off!
