Hellotittie Millennial Women Influencers Event
What does it mean to you to be empowered? Is it building your own brand? Is it getting that degree despite all the all nighters and stress? Is it paying your rent on time? If any of these apply to you at all, then you know what it feels like to accomplish something that you otherwise thought, even for a second, might have not been possible. Finding the strength and the power to keep moving forward despite one’s shortcomings is not only admirable, but also valuable. It shows that one can channel their own potential to a degree that they may have never known was possible beforehand. It shows growth, and it shows strength. And that was the theme in a quaint little Brooklyn loft this passed Sunday. Four empowered female influencers shared their stories of success, failure, and overall passion of what it means to be your best you.
Sunday, August 20th was a special day to sit down, drink a bit of rose, and talk about what it means to be an empowered female. Panelists of all different career paths came out to share their stories of how they came to be where they are now. All the professions taking up our little couch included modeling, makeup, fashion designing, blogging and even brand influencing.
While these four fine ladies shared their stories of struggle, stress, and those feelings of nothing going right, they all shared one thing in common; work. Hard work. Because regardless of what anybody tells you you are capable of, or knowing yourself what you're capable of, you still need to put in the work. Cause the reality is it can be a dog eat dog world out there sometimes. There may even be- scratch that, there MOST CERTAINLY will be times when you want to give up. In those moments when that last string of hope is quickly loosening, try to hold on.
If our lovely panelists of Roxy Mac, Monique Watters, Genesis, Mook Attakanwong, and Yarisbeth can go through it all and still come out on top, so can you. Try to keep this in mind next time life may not be throwing you enough lifejackets. Keep your head up high, and don’t ever loose hope in your potential. And most important of all...DON’T EVERCOMPROMISE YOUR CREATIVITY FOR NOBODY! Stay bold and stay strong my ladies!
