Just because this holiday is associated with rich decadent treats doesn’t mean you have to load up on sugar. Whether you’re relaxing with your partner, hanging with your girls or chilling solo there are plenty of delicious treats to demolish without putting your health at risk or packing on the pounds. It’s only natural to think of candy for V Day but fruit can just as satisfying. Pomegranate, strawberries, mango, and kiwi are super flavorful and sweet. For added sweetness you can drizzling honey or dark chocolate on the fruit. You could also try sending your partner an edible arrangement.
I think some people forget how oddly satisfying nuts are as a snack. Nuts dusted with things like cocoa, cinnamon, or chili powder can make good Valentine’s Day treats. Plus? This is snack is packed with proteins that you don’t have to feel guilty about.
4. Angel Food Cake
If you’re more of a cake person than a candy person, you can still have a sweet dessert without bogging yourself down with sugar.
