Gabrielle Union Gifts Pregnant News Anchor New Clothes from Her Clothing Line
Body shaming is something we will never condone and Gabrielle Union feels the same way. The actress recently went to social media to share the story of a news anchor who was body shamed earlier this year.
A few months ago, Laura Warren, a news anchor based in Georgia received a voicemail from a viewer voicing their opinion on her outfit. According to People, the person allegedly said the anchor should, “buy some decent maternity clothes” and went as far as saying she was “too disgusting to be on T.V.” In response, the news anchor wrote a positive blog post stating,
“I consider myself a confident, pretty secure, independent, woman. Why was I letting this one ridiculous, negative comment ruin my whole day?”
Laura truly did the right things and dusted off the haters. That viewer’s nasty opinion wasn’t appreciated and surely not needed.
Gabrielle honored Laura as her #WomanCrushWednesday and is gifting her a new wardrobe from her New York and Company clothing line.
A message to body shamers: If you try to body shame someone, be aware that people will come for you. Body shaming in no way or form is acceptable.
