Four Ways Women Can Find Inspiration

As an overall creative person, I believe we all need inspiration to do our best work no matter what career path we’re on. Whether you need some inspiration to get the creative juices flowing or just a mind break from crunching the numbers. Here are some ways to stimulate yourself creatively.

This is something that’s super easy to incorporate into your every day life. We all have a commute to work so listen to a podcast about something that you know excites you. It will get you thinking. If you’re living in a big city like I am, in New York, we’re lucky enough to be surrounded by great art, history, and perspective. I would suggest checking out a museum in your area. Most are free admission with only a suggested donation. I always believed “art inspires art”. If you don’t live in a big city, many small towns actually have their own museums. Take a Walk
Sometimes just a walk down the street can be inspiring. We usually have our headphones in and we’re probably in a rush. We rarely take the time to be present and actually look at our surroundings. You’ll find street art, nature, architecture you never took the time to notice. You’ll arrive back at work refreshed.

One of the ways I get over a creative block is to journal. It’s also something you can incorporate into your day-to-day routine pretty easily. I always end up feeling more open and receptive after a good entry.
