Finally A Beauty Site Made Just for Women Of Color - Mariani Beauty!

For many women of color, it may be difficult to find beauty products that go right with their skin tone. Marjani Beauty is going to end that struggle. The new e-commerce shopping site, created by founder and CEO Kimberly Smith, is catering to women of color. The site will carry black-owned beauty brands such as AJ Crimson, Gold Label, Christal Cosmetics, and more.

In a statement on the website, Smith said that Marjani created to celebrate diversity among women of color, their beauty needs shouldn't be treated as 'one size fits all',

"This company was born from the desire of our founders to create a space and platform where the collective diversity of women of color is celebrated. There is no one-size-fits-all when it comes to women of color’s hair, skin and cosmetic needs. As women of color, we are constantly breaking the mirrored vanity when it comes to the 'ideal standards' of beauty. All the while, mass market brands fail to keep up or even attempt to fulfill our diverse needs."

One thing that women of color struggle with when looking for makeup is the foundation. It is hard to find the perfect shade that matches their skin tone, especially when beauty companies have a one size fits all mentality. If you still haven't found the right foundation, Marjani Beauty has a try-it-before-you-buy-it program. When you order foundation from the site it comes with a sample, so you can try it out before you commit to opening the full-size bottle. If it's not your shade, you can return the full-size item within 14 days.
