Exciting News! Award Show Season 2018 Is Finally Here

With a new year comes exciting new award shows almost every week. That means red carpet glamour, outstanding performance lineups and our favorite celebrities all in one place to honor the best in film, music and television.

The 75th Golden Globes Awards kicked off Hollywood’s award show season on Sunday, Jan. 7, 2018 with a rather historic night. Attendees dressed in all black to protest sexual harassment in Hollywood, which was then celebrated in Oprah Winfrey’s powerful, inspirational acceptance speech about women finding their voice.

She was the first black woman to receive the Cecil B. DeMille Award while Sterling K. Brown became the first black actor to win for leading performance in a TV drama and Aziz Ansari became the first Asian male actor to win best leading performance in a TV comedy.

History was also made at the  24th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards, which took place on Sunday, Jan. 21, 2018 with Kristen Bell being the first-ever host.

She shared the stage with a group of female presenters, most of whom showed their support for the Time's Up movement as well. Between the cast of Veep’s acceptance speech where cast member Matt Walsh had the audience hooting with laughter, followed by a beautiful speech by presenter Rita Moreno and standing ovation for Morgan Freeman’s Lifetime Achievement Award, the SAG Awards along with the Golden Globes definitely set the tone for a promising award show season.

But with so many coming up, it can become hard to keep track of them all. To help you get ready, here is a reminder of some of the dates you don’t want to miss:
