Exciting News! Aladdin Remake Has Officially Casted Jafar!
It’s no secret that the live action remake Aladdin has been keeping us fans on their edge of our seats with their casting announcements. With Will Smith already confirmed to be taking on the role of the genie, and main characters Aladdin and Jasmine just recently being cast, it’s safe to say the next character casting choice that is very crucial to the film, is that of Jafar. Unless you’re living under a rock or just don’t roll with Disney that much, Jafar is the main villain of Aladdin, and ends up capturing the genie and using his powers for evil. Although it’s not officially confirmed, multiple media outlets have been saying that 34-year-old actor Marwan Kenzari will be portraying the new Jafar.
Kenzari’s recent work includes Ben-Hur, and The Mummy starring alongside Tom Cruise. Although it isn’t official just yet, it looks like Kenzari will be filling the shoes of one of the most memorable Disney villians. Aladdin’s official release date has not been confirmed yet, but it better be soon Disney! You can’t keep dropping all these important casting notices without giving us an actual day to prepare ourselves for.
