Do You #SeeHer?

Did you know it’s Women’s History Month? Of course you do! Well, the Association of National Advertisers also does! They’ve created a campaign with MTV in honor of Women’s History Month. #SeeHer campaign gets a new face, various new faces, in “A Woman Did That”.

Produced in-house at MTV, the campaign will feature a series of one-minute videos highlighting accomplished women from Rihanna, Olympic gold medalist Laurie Hernandez, fashion designer Lucy Jones, actress and activist Gina Rodriguez, author Amani Al-Katahtbeth, and inventor and student Keiana Cave. The videos will also include trivia segments featuring fascinating bits of women’s history and struggles.

MTV is kicking off the campaign with a slate of films and will stream the videos throughout March. The campaign equally extends to the network’s digital and social platforms, including Snapchat Discover. Robyn DeMarco, MTV’s Executive Vice President of Programming and Content Strategy, announced that fresh content would come out across all platforms. 

The Association of National Advertisers and its Alliance for Family Entertainment debuted the #SeeHer campaign in an effort to eliminate bias against women in advertising and the media by 2020, which is the 100th anniversary of women’s suffrage. “A Woman Did That” seeks to help build awareness for the initiative.
