Cardi B Is Not Impressed With The #Metoo Movement
Rapper Cardi B has some strong opinions about the Me Too movement, and she is not afraid to share them. While giving an interview to Cosmopolitan magazine she spoke about the Me Too movement, which was created to fight against sexual harassment in the workplace. The New York rapper doesn't believe the movement represents all women.
“A lot of video vixens have spoke about this and nobody gives a fuck,” she said, referring to harassment faced by women who star in music videos.
“When I was trying to be a vixen, people were like, ‘You want to be on the cover of this magazine?’ Then they pull their dicks out. I bet if one of these women stands up and talks about it, people are going to say, ‘So what? You’re a ho. It don’t matter.’”
Cardi B also had some words for the men in Hollywood, who have openly taken a stand in support of the Me Too movement. Women have praised many of them for taking a stand in support of the movement, but Cardi B is not falling for it.
“These producers and directors, they’re not woke, they’re scared.”
Cardi B also suggested in the interview that a lot of the men supporting Me Too probably shouldn't be trusted. We have seen many actors support Me Too then be accused of sexual harassment. One of these actors is James Franco. The actor wore a Me Too pin during the Golden Globes Awards and was interviewed saying that he supported the movement and women. Within a few days of the award show, a few actresses and former acting student who attend his classes accused Franco of sexual harassment.
