Cara Delevingne Pairs Up With Pharrell Williams For New Chanel Campaign
A little over a year Cara Delevingne announced that she was taking a break from modeling. Despite her break from modeling she has worked with Saint Laurent, Puma, Marc Jacobs, and Chanel. Delevingne is back and working with Chanel again in an upcoming ad for the “Gabrielle” bag. Delevingne will be joining Kristen Stewart, Caroline de Maigret and Pharrell Williams (who make his debut as the first male to be in a handbag campaign for Chanel) in the ad for the "Gabrielle" bag.
Delevingne is described as a "friend of the house" and "ever loyal to Karl Lagerfeld”, so it no surprise that she would continue to work with the famous fashion house.
The "Gabrielle" bag is named after the fashion designer and label founder, Gabrielle Chanel. According to a press release by the fashion house,
"Karl Lagerfeld wanted [Gabrielle] to have the same aesthetic and practical spirit in that blend of strength and elegance that characterizes Chanel handbags."
They also commented on why they chose each person to be a part of the ad saying,
"The versatility is bound to come alive in the shoot as each character will make the look their own -- the bag can adapt to every personality, situation or mood."
The bag will be available in several colors, including a traditional black or white. It has an adjustable cross-body strap featuring two chains of braided leather and gold and silver metal. The bag is set to be unveiled in April 2017.
