Bruno Mars And Kendrick Lamar Sweep 2018 Grammy Awards

Artists Bruno Mars and Kendrick Lamar were up against tough competition in the 2018 Grammy Awards, but dominated the stage when they delivered entertaining performances and as they won numerous awards.

Lamar won five awards including Best Music Video for “Humble,” which also won Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance. He won Best Rap/Sung collab for “Loyalty” with Rihanna and Best Rap Album for “DAMN,” beating out JAY-Z, Migos, Tyler the Creator and Rapsody.

“This is a special award,” Lamar said in his acceptance speech for Best Rap Album. “It showed me the true definition of what being an artist was.”


However, Mars was the biggest winner of the night and won every award he was nominated for including Record of the Year for “24K Magic,” Song of the Year for “That’s What I Like” and the night’s most prestigious award of Album of the Year for “24K Magic,” beating out artists Lorde, Kendrick Lamar, Jay-Z and Childish Gambino, who he thanked in his acceptance speech.

“You guys are the reason why I'm in the studio pulling my hair out, because I know you guys are only gonna come with the top shelf artistry and music," he said.


He also won Best R&B Performance, Best R&B Album and Best R&B Song, walking away with six awards. Both artists gave some of the night’s most memorable performances as Mars performed his hit song “Finesse” and Lamar sang a mashup of “m.A.A.d. City” and “Radioactive.”
