Ariana Grande Mourns Mac Miller’s Death With A Touching Instagram Photo
On Friday Mac Miller died of an apparent overdose at the age of 26. Many fans awaited a statement from Mac Miller's ex-girlfriend Ariana Grande, whom he dated for two years. The singer took to Instagram on Saturday and posted a heartwarming photo of Miller. The black-and-white photo showed the rapper sitting on the grass, staring up up at someone, presumably Grande.
Grande did not include a caption and comments were disabled, most likely because of all the trolls blaming her for Miller’s death. In May 2018, fans were shocked when Miller and Grande ended their two-year relationship. Grande revealed that sobriety issues was the reason for the break up, which she was harshly criticized for on social media.
"I am not a babysitter or a mother and no woman should feel that they need to be," Ariana said to a Twitter troll who blamed Miller's DUI on the split. "I have cared for him and tried to support his sobriety [and] prayed for his balance for years (and always will of course) but shaming/blaming women for a man's inability to keep his s--t together is a very major problem."
Grande’s fans are coming to her defense on Twitter writing it is not her fault Miller had died. Other than the Instagram photo, Grande has not spoken about her ex’s death. So many celebrities have taken to social media to react to the news and pay tribute to Miller as an artist. Scooter Braun, the manager of Grande, shared a photo of the artist on Instagram with the words,
“Always a kind heart. You will be missed and you are gone way too soon.” He added in the caption, “Rest in peace, Mac.”
Wiz Khalifa, who helped discover Miller’s music, was one of the first to post about his death.“Praying for Mac’s family and that he rest easy,” he said in a tweet.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Miller’s friends and family at this time.
