Selena Gomez 'In Good Spirits' After Her Mental Health Treatment Program

Selena Gomez is out of rehab, looking happy, and healthy. The 26-year-old checked into a rehab facility back in September, reportedly going through an emotional breakdown. Gomez had suffered through a rough year in 2018, dealing with lingering complications from a 2017 kidney transplant. People reported that Gomez was hospitalized twice this fall with a low white blood cell count. The magazine said that she suffered a panic attack while hospitalized, which triggered the trip to a treatment facility. We are so glad to see her back to her happy self.

Gomez has been open about her struggles with mental health in the past. In an interview with Vogue last year, Gomez shared the positive effect that dialectical behavior therapy had on her life.

"DBT has completely changed my life," she told the magazine. "I wish more people would talk about therapy. We girls, we're taught to be almost too resilient, to be strong and sexy and cool and laid-back, the girl who's down. We also need to feel allowed to fall apart."
